The All White Trend via Stripes 'n Studs as seen on NYFW Spring 2014

So I have been asked on Instagram to do daily posts on my OOTDs, so I complied and I am thankful and greatly encouraged by the positive feedback I am getting from you guys so Imma keep doing this for you guys.

On to today's post :

 The color white dominated the NYFW Spring 2014 runways in a major way and of course I wasn't just going to let this slide without creating my own take of the trend. Things to remember: you do not necessarily have to wear the same shade of white, you can mix different "whites" and just be creative about it - like I always say: it's your style!

So here's my interpretation of the trend for the office lady

 This Jacket has such detail in the cut it is modern and very much office appropriate without being too " officy" if I'm making any sense. And the best part is you can just throw on some jeans and you are off to a night in the town! And a white button down is and should be a wardrobe stable, okay ladies? MKAY!

   The Studs on these pants are everything! They are still formal with a bit of edgy and fun detail, and the gold just
 catches the eye

Pointy toe heels are office appropriate, glam, sophisticated. The suede makes everything polished and put together, very put together.

The owners of the store are comprised of David, his wife Ali and business partner Shaun. This dynamic, young and overall lovely trio is the reason why downtown Jozi has a secret fashion paradise spot tucked neatly at 81 Rissik  Street, and I tell you this store makes rough,downtown Jozi all mellow for us fashion lovers!

Solange Weds in Weekend Nuptials

Dressed in an ivory white Humberto Leon for Kenzo dress, Solange Knowles (28) said I do to her video director beau Alan Ferguson (51) in New Orleans after a weekend of festivities. The all female wedding party, including sister Beyonce and mother Tina, all dressed in white for the photo shoot ( portraits were commissioned to Rog Walker)and were all looking absolutely stunning.

Of course in true Solange style, we didnt expect the normal Disney Princess ball gown and she didn't dissapoint. Her gown was regal and truelly embodied Solange's style that we have all come to love and maybe envy just a little....

Her son Daniel Julez and niece Blue Ivy (who arrived with dad Jay-Z both dressed in white ) also attended the wedding ceremony, which was clearly a family affair.

She wore a stunning Stephane Rolland ivory jumpsuit before the wedding and arrived in a white painted bicycle decked with cream roses, in true to Solange Knowles style.

A Musical Feast - introducing Cizario Roberts

I had the pleasure of spending some time with up and coming artist Cizario Roberts, who has been busy in studio recording his first album titled" Ngizelingoma", loosely translated "I have given birth to a song" which is befitting for a first album and for someone whose music career growth I have had the blessing to witness .

Listening to the album was refreshing, it carries a smooth, jazzy, neo-soul feel to it reminiscent of names like Maxwell yet still bears the markings of the authentic South African flavor. I am definitely not being biased, given that he is a close friend of mine, in giving the album a sterling  review and I encourage each one of you to keep your ears open as to when it will be available on the shelves; because it will be worth the investment.

Romeo Beckham for Burberry London

The Beckham middle child is starring in this wonderfully choreographed holiday campaign by London powerhouse +Burberry , that has bagged big names like Kate Moss as ambassadors.

This short video tells the story of two young people who fall in love against a London theatrical backdrop and young Beckham is bearing a gift of love for them, and they take him on an enchanted dance journey . The film titled "From London with Love" is directed by Christopher Bailey and features over 50 dancers who give an old school slow dance movie performance. I personally love the way everyone is looking so sharp and dapper, and the ladies tiered dresses. This is a beautifully created and well produced film.

 The young couple is played by Hannah Dodds and Anders Hayward and young Romeo take the office of playing cupid, which he makes for a cute cupid I must say,

PINKTOBER : SA NATIONAL BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Hello Lovelies,
So I have been doing a little research on how I can get involved in the fight against cancer as I have some people dear to me who have fought & won over cancer; and this has proven that early detection and having the proper knowledge is key in moving towards a cancer free society and possibly a cure.
The statistics stand at 1 in 26 South African women being likely to get breast cancer across all races, and that for me is too big a number for us to just sit back and be passive. I think every woman has a mandate to teach the younger girls how to do proper inspection from an early age and to take their tests as prescribe by the health department i.e having your regular pap smear and breast inspection as regulated.
Also it is each persons’ responsibility to eat and live right, following a healthy eating plan and regular exercise. Here are the signs of possible breast cancer presence from www.women24.com




I have created this makeup look in honor of the survivors, in support of the fighters and with hope for a cure. Stay beautiful and think pink!
